I'm currently a postdoctoral researcher at UCLA working with prof Kyung Hyun Sung on medical image analysis. I received my Ph.D from Nankai University in 2020, under the supervision of prof. Ming-ming Cheng. Before that, I spent 7 wonderful years in Shanghai University where I got my BS and MS in 2014 and 2017, respectively, under the supervision of Dr. Wei Shen (now assistant professor at Shanghai Jiaotong Univ).

My research interests lie in the intersection of Computer Vision and Statistical Learning, which aim at creating intelligent algorithms to mimic the human visual system. I co-authored 20+ research papers on top-tier conferences and journals in the field of AI and computer vision, with 2,200+ citations on google scholar. My research on palmprint recognition was covered by MIT technology review. I'm an active contributor to open-source projects such as PyTorch and mmdetection.
